I'll admit, I have been spending time on Instagram.

I'm not giving up on you yet though blog. I'm setting a resolution to spend a little bit more time in 2017 keeping you updated.

#462...entry

I've been slowly decorating my house after our spring renovation. The entry room walls got painted to match the trim, and I had the fireplace travertine painted out in enamel as well. I'm going through a minimalist phase, so this room looks quite a bit parred down from last year, which you can see here.

The curved sofa is a thrift store purchase that I had re-upholstered. See it below as it was when I bought it. I bought the velvet flocked upholstery from the remnant section at FabricGuru. The legs are from Pretty Pegs.

#461...laundry bath

During our renovation earlier this year, our laundry bath got a makeover. It was not originally on the agenda, but a plumbing problem required much of the sheet rock and the tile to be ripped out of the room. Here is the room last year, and below you can see it today. I changed some of the lighting, had the shower tiled (finally), and got a new dryer. I accidentally bought this Ventless dryer, not realizing that it would no longer vent outdoors. I do turn the bathroom exhaust fan on while it is running, but I actually like the way it drys by condensation rather than direct heat.

#460...painting the moon

I am very, very, very slowly redecorating my house after the renovation. I recently came across this round canvas in my studio, and decided to paint a moon to hang in my TV lounge on a wall that used to house a giant Elfa shelf system. It measures about 20" in diameter, and I used acrylic paints in a water color fashion. It feels simple and uncluttered and I'm over the moon about it!

#458...fun with a drone

We recently completed our attic build-out and exterior renovation of our house. My contractor, Emiliano Zazueta hired a drone to make a video, which nicely highlights our pretty new roof and fresh paint job.

Here is the URL to see it on Emiliano's facebook page:

We are at the end of our construction project, and now it is time to move back in! Here are some photos of the nearly finished house, and new attic space.
